Late to the party: 24
Today I watched the final episode in season 8 of 24. Yes, I know I am more than a little late but I only started watching 24 about a year and a half ago and it became a coping mechanism for my occasional meltdowns so I didn’t watch it very often. If I know I’m heading for a meltdown, I’ll retreat into my room and watch 24. Usually, I manage an entire season and it calms me down or I calm down half way through and finish the season off anyway.
I’m considering just starting up again from season 1 next time I start on the way to a meltdown because I identify so much with some of Jack’s beliefs it helps stick me back in the right frame of mind to pull myself out of a funk. Also, watching 24 gives me the most crazy but awesome game ideas and I love designing games based on these ideas.
As for the end itself, it was fantastic. The whole end section of season 8 had me not moving from my bed until it was done. I cannot imagine what it was like watching it week to week but I know I could have only barely managed it same as I barely managed it with Supernatural towards the end of the last season. The idea of a film sounds pretty cool and it’ll be interesting to see how it plays out
