A song by your favourite band
Acid Laced Fiasco by Daysend is a song that might one day replace Scars Remain as my favourite song. I never mentioned it back on day 1 but they are my favourite band. My last.fm page and my ipod’s play count just back that up.
Back when I was around 17 or so and just starting to really get into heavy metal I was digging through the itunes radio picks to see if there was anything metal in there. I found a station called Chronix Aggression and one of the first songs I heard was Born is the Enemy by Daysend. I was instantly hooked and got the album as possible.
Up until that point, the year had gone pretty shit. After I got the album and started to listen to it, the year started to get better and eventually turned out not so bad. I got hold of their second album about the same time as I was having a rough patch at uni and things weren’t going so great. Same thing happened, I listened to it a whole bunch and the year got a whole bunch better.
The album this song is on came out earlier on this year and I got it almost as soon as it was out. So far, since getting it my year has on the whole improved even if I have been feeling incredibly shitty. Because of this and because the music is so fucking great and makes me feel happier, Daysend are by a long way my favourite band.
