Bullet for My Valentine are a band I used to like quite a lot. Their first two albums and the EP they put out weren’t too bad at all. From there however, it goes downhill a bit. The third album was mostly poor effort with a couple of decent tracks which is probably why when I saw them on the tour promoting that album, they mostly played old stuff.
Just got put onto this album by a friend saying “It’s like old stuff”. After a single listen through, I’m going back to Soilwork. Not because it’s particularly bad because it’s actually a decent album for them. I just seem to have grown out of wanting to listen to stuff from the more pop end of the metal spectrum. This kind of music just lacks the same punch to me it used to have and that I now find in bands like Soilwork, Evile, Mnemic and The Black Dahlia Murder.
