Late to the party: Borderlands
Today, Borderlands on 360 arrived from LoveFilm and I bought it on steam because it was dirt cheap. Having played it for a decent amount of time I am wondering why the fuck I have never got it until now.
I love the art style a lot. I’ve always sort of liked that kind of art style but this is one of the few games where I really do love it. Everything might not look uber-realistic but when it looks this cool, it doesn’t fucking matter.
The gameplay and how it’s built reminds me very much of soloing an MMO but without the people. I have yet to play with others and I’m sure it’ll change when I do but for now I’m actually enjoying this solo quest to find the vault thing.
One thing I will say though is that this is one of the few games I have played where the difference between playing with a mouse and keyboard and playing with a pad is so pronounced. With a pad, I’m way more about being up close and using my melee or action skill. With M&K, I sit way back and just snipe people into dust.
Also, I play Hunter. Siren was alright, Brick looks like fun and the Soldier could be handy but the flying bird of death and the fact I use a sword to melee are way too fun to give up
(Also also, I plan on updating this roughly every day or so with my current thoughts on whatever. I see that lasting about a week or two)
